A most interesting visit was enjoyed by a dozen members of our Active Black Country Past Round Table (41) Club.

Monday 15th April 2013 at 8pm.

A visit to Tiger Helicopters at Shobon Aerodrome in Herefordshire HR6 9NR

Although some distance from the core ABC territory the visit was well worth it as it was a rare chance of a lifetime to touch and get close to these aircraft, and receive a fascinating talk from Director Alan Ramsden.
Tiger Helicopters has one of the most advanced helicopter pilot training facilities in the UK and as such, trains pilots for International police forces and the military as well as our own alongside anyone who wants to obtain their private pilots license.
An excellent cold buffet was included during the visit.

Cost was £10.00 which included food and a allowed us to make a £100 donation to (most appropriately) the Air Ambulance charity nominated by the managing director of Tiger

We finished up at a local pub The Bateman Arms which is situated on the perimeter of the Aerodrome.

Potential members and guests were most welcome. It was great to have a large group from Bridgenorth Ex-Tablers club join us too.

Thank you John for another different and fascinating evening organised by your good self. Lovely buffet agan. Raising money for Air Ambulance too what a great idea, well done.

YIABC Chairman Jon.
